Marlin Quay Marina

Marlin Quay Marina has been anchored in a rich history of boating and fishing in the Murrells Inlet and Garden City Beach community since the 1960s.

Originally named the Gulf Stream Marina, the marina changed to its current name in 1985 because of the many prize-winning marlins caught by local fishermen competing in the regularly hosted fishing tournaments at the marina.

As one of the oldest marinas in the area, when Father and son, Mark Lawhon and Chris Lawhon purchased the facility in 2014, many renovations were needed to bring the marina back to life.

Since then, Marlin Quay Marina has gone through numerous renovations including, most recently, a state-of-the-art facility which hosts The Quay Seafood Grille on the top two floors, including a rooftop bar, and the Marina shipstore and gift shop on the first level.

The Lawhon's take pride in continuing the longevity and rich history of the marina for the Garden City Beach and Murrells Inlet community to enjoy for years to come.
